Grafton Street

Grafton Street is recognised the world over for its pedestrianised streets, glamourous shop fronts, colourful flower sellers and a host of side streets packed with quirky shops, gorgeous boutiques, cool cafes and famous bars.

It is also home to the renowned Brown Thomas, one of the most prestigious department stores in the world. At the top of Grafton Street, there is the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre while off one of the side streets you will find the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. It really is the perfect place to spend an afternoon window-shopping, people-watching and indulging yourself.

When you’re done, head to St Stephens Green. This glorious square nestled in the very heart of the city has beautiful ponds, hidden corners and plenty of benches to relax on after a day of activity.

Creative Quarter

For a real flavour of contemporary Dublin, venture into the streets around Grafton Street, known locally as the Creative Quarter. Made up of Wicklow Street, South William Street, Drury Street, George’s Street, Dame Street and Fade Street, this is the place to go for avant-garde shopping and socialising.

Powerscourt Townhouse Centre offers a superb blend of Irish designers, chic boutiques, antique jewellery and homely cafes. Drury Street is home to an eclectic mix of home-grown shops and the bohemian George’s Street Arcade.

Coffee culture is the name of the game in the Creative Quarter. Take a seat outside Clement & Pekoe on South William Street, grab a specialty coffee from Kaph or watch the world go by outside Metro Café. For the real taste of Dublin, have a pint outside Grogan’s on Castle Market or head to Fade Street, the go-to cocktail joint.

Explore this area and you will discover so many gems that make Dublin the wonderful city it is!
